| Tonight at approx. 1840 hrs Dauphin County dispatched box 36-6 for smoke in the building at 7425 Appalacian Trail bring Engine and Tanker 35. Engine 36-1 arrived with normal conditions from the exterior. Crews investigated and found the house to have a heavy smoke condition all throughout. Engine 35 arrived and command (Senft) had the crew split with two members going to the roof and the rest going inside to assit in searches and extingiushment. After a couple of minutes the fire was found to be in the utility room and coming from the hot water heater. The power was shut off to the house and the fire quickly contained and extinguished. Engine 35 returned to service in about an hour. All crews work very well together. |
