Lebanon County Hazmat / Propane Truck Fire

February 13, 2008

This morning around 10am, while the Rescue was still operating in Susquehanna, the Tanker was dispatched to Mountain Rd at the County line for a Propane Truck that was involved in an accident reportedly with entrapment and fire. Crews arrived on scene to find that there was no entrapment, but the propane truck was on fire. Command requested additional tankers and manpower to the scene around 4:30pm. This brought in our Rescue and upon arrival they were assigned RIT Operations. Crews rotated out about 4-5 hours into this operation with fresh personnel and the Tanker was released. The Rescue remained on scene until almost 3:00am. At the time of this post, crews were still operating at this incident, so we may be back to relieve personnel.
