| Tonight at approx. 2130 hrs County dispatched box 37-3 for a basement fire at 1400 Roberts Valley rd. Chief 37-1 (McCann) went on the scene with a well involved house. Command had Co. 37 Air 35 and the tankers respond up the mountain and had everything else stage on Front st. due to access to the scene.
Engine and Tanker 35 went responding at 2200 hrs after Command 37 asked for two additional Engines and Tankers. The engine staged on front st and the manpower from the Engine hopped on Engine 38 (Dauphin)
for the ride to the top of the mountain. once at the scene th crew form the Engine was told to go to the second floor and assist with extinguishment. Crews went to the second floor and started to open up for the crews on the line and found fire running the attic and walls. All crews worked very well together. The units were out for approx. 3 1/2 hrs before returning to service. |
