| This afternoon around 3:45 pm Company 36(West Hanover Twp) was dispatched for a structure fire bringing the Truck, Engine, and Tanker. Chief 36 (Cassel) responded with a visible smoke column and upgraded the box. The Truck, Engine, and Tanker responded with a total of 12 members. Chief 36 arrived with an 8 unit townhouse with heavy fire in the middle unit and requested the second alarm. Truck 35 arrived and searched one house that was unsure of occupancy. The search was negative. Crews threw ground ladders and prepared to go to the roof. A crew from the Truck and Truck 32 trenched the roof on the second exposure building. The Engine arrived and assisted with interior operations and supplied water to Engine 32. Air 35 was requested to the scene to refill air cylinders. The Air and Tanker returned after being on scene for a couple hours. The Engine and Truck returned after 5 hours on scene. Thanks to Lebanon Truck 5(Annville) and Engine 55 (Highspire) for transferring to Station 35 while crews were out. |
